NicoNico.com Premium Member Policy

This Premium Member Policy (the "Policy") is an additional agreement between Niconico Inc. and all of its affiliates (collectively, "we," "us" or "our") and you ("you" or "your") if you want to use the Premium Member Service, as described in Section 2 of this Policy.

1. Registration

i) To use the Service (as defined in the Terms of Service) as a premium member ("Premium Member"), you must follow the Premium Member registration procedure .

ii) When you register and use the Service as a Premium Member, you are bound by the terms of this Policy, the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy. This Policy is incorporated in its entirety into the Terms of Service. We may, in our sole discretion, modify or revise this Policy without notice at any time. Such modifications will be effective when this Policy, as modified, is posted on the Service. If you are a Premium Member, you should review this Policy periodically for modifications. Your continued use of the Service as a Premium Member after such modifications shall be deemed to be acceptance of this Policy as modified.

iii) The Premium Member registration fee can be found here . You will be responsible for all applicable taxes, duties or fees payable in connection with your registration as a Premium Member and payment of the registration monthly fee.

iv) We may, in our sole discretion, change, suspend or terminate your Premium Member registration or our Premium Member Service without notice, for any or no reason. In no event, will we be liable to you or any third party for any such changes, suspension or termination.

2. Service

3. License

Subject to your compliance with this Policy, the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy, we grant you a non-exclusive non-transferable license to access and use the Service as a Premium Member. You agree not to copy, download, sell, rent, distribute, make available, sublicense, publicly perform or publicly display any Content that is accessible only to Premium Members but not to other users of the Service. If you do not comply with the terms of this Policy, your rights under this Policy, including the license grant in this Section 3, shall terminate automatically.

4. Termination

i) In the event you wish to terminate your registration as a Premium Member ("Terminate" or "Termination"), you must comply with our Termination procedure . We will automatically extend your registration as a Premium Member every month, and you may be required to pay additional fee (if any, see "rate" for details), until and unless you Terminate your registration in accordance with such procedure.

ii) If you Terminate your registration as a Premium Member in the same month in which you registered as a Premium Member, we will charge you the full registration fee for one month. If you Terminate in the middle of a month, we will charge you the full registration fee for such month.

iii) After the Termination of your registration as a Premium Member, we may retain records of your use of the Service as a Premium Member and, in our sole discretion,

Here are a brief guides on how to use the video player in Niconico.

1. Start/Pause
Start or pause your video from here.

*You can also use the Space key.

2. Rewind

Rewind the video back to the start

3. Seek Bar

This bar will display the process of the video load and the

Elapsed Time/Total Time

5. Mute/Volume

Press the button to mute the video and press again to unmuted it

6. Repeat

Video will go back to start after playing.

7. Show/Hide Comments

Comments posted on video can be either shown or hidden

8. Wide Screen

(Wide=16:9, Normal=4:3)

9. Enlarge Screen

Play screen will be enlarged to browser size

Share videos from niconico.com on Twitter and Facebook

You can share your favorite videos on Twitter and Facebook by clicking on the "Tweet" and "Like" button located on the top of the video player. This function require you to be logged in and will ask for your username and password if you haven't.

Sharing Videos

At Niconico.com, you will be able to share videos from Youtube, Dailymotion and Niconico Douga without any hassle.

Here's how you do it

1. Click on the "Share Videos" button located on the top right of the front page

2. Enter your favorite video's URL in the pop-up box

3. Click on "Share" and the video will be instantly shared on Niconico

We will be adding more features in the beta stage and eventually you will be able to upload your own videos directly to Niconico.com.

We will check every reports/deletion request we receive but will act only within the Terms of Use.

Please also note that we will not report to you the results.

On concerning the reports on copy right infringement, we will investigate the matters under the request of those violated and it's legal guardian and act as soon as we are able to verify their right's ownership.

Request for deletion of videos

Go to "Report this Video" near the bottom of the player, fill in the required field and report.

Request for deletion of Live broadcasts

Go to "Report this Video for violations" near the bottom of the player, fill in the required field and report.

* You can still report copy for right infringement from the report form even after the program ends if it is scheduled to be played in Timeshift.

・ We support only through the Inquiry / Feedback form and will not take phone calls.

・ Please fill us in with the details of your situation such as the commands, error screen so that we will be able to quickly identify the problem and help you.

・ We will answer questions as they come and may at times take longer for us to answer your questions.

・ If you don't seem to be getting any replies, it may have been filtered out as a spam email.

・ Please note that our mail will not reach you if the email address you have provided during registrations is incorrect or your email settings does not allow messages from the domain"niwango.co.jp"

・ We will check all of the inquiries but will not reply depending on the content of that inquiry.

Withdrawing from Niconico

After logging in go to the Account settings from your Mypage or the header in the front page.

Click on the "Withdraw from Niconico" to proceed to the Withdraw page.

Then enter your password, and click on "Agree to the terms above and withdraw" to complete the process. 　　　

* Please not that once you withdraw from Niconico, your account information (ID, passwords) will be completely deleted and cannot be transferred to your new account if you decided to make one. 　

* Uploaded videos however will remain on Niconico. Please make sure you delete them before your withdrawal if you do not wish to have them here.

How do you use My Faves?

Adding videos

Click on the "Add to My Faves", select the list you want to add it to and then click on "Add". You can also write a comment to your My Faves before and after you add them to your list.　

Creating/deleting My Faves

To create a new My Faves go to

Mypage > My Faves > Create New > Select settings, enter title My Faves, and press "Create New"

You can also create a new My Faves from the "Add to My Faves" in the player's top right. 　

To delete a My Faves,

Mypage > My Faves > Select My Faves you want deleted >X Delete My Faves

Editing My Faves

To edit My Faves

Mypage > My Faves > Select My Faves you want to edit > Edit > select and fill in information > Save description and apply

Public/Private settings

Mypage > My Faves > select the My Faves you want changed > Edit > select either Public or Private> Save description and apply

Sorting contents inside My Faves

Click on the drop-down menu in your My Faves box and select your sorting option.

(Newest, Oldest, A-Z, Z-A, Newest uploads, Oldest uploads, Most viewed, Least viewed, Newest comment, Oldest comment, Most commented, Least commented, Most My Faves, Least My Faves, longest, shortest)

Organizing videos inside My Faves

You can move/copy videos between different My Faves.

First check on the video, then select the My Faves you want it to moved/copied to and press either the "Move", "Copy" button.

Mylist from NND

You can find your NND Mylist on My Fave page if you are using the same account as the one in Nico Nico Douga (NND) and watch them here at niconico.com.

What are Clipped Videos?

"Clipped Videos" are a public My Faves with no limits on how many items you can add.

You can add items to your Clipped Videos from the Menu After Playing or the normal My Faves corner.

Items in Clipped Videos will be deleted from oldest after the list exceeds 100 (Standard Member), 500 (Premium Member).

If you don't want them to be deleted, make sure you move them over to the "Open (Closed) My Faves"beforehand.

Unlike "Public (Private) My Faves" the "Clipped Videos" cannot be viewed by others. However, please note that comments posted when adding items to "Clipped Videos" is visible to others.

What is My Faves?

My Faves allows you to save your favorite videos, and share them with others online.

There are 2 types of My Faves. One is "Clipped Videos" and the other "My Faves (Public/Private)".

For more information on "Clipped Videos" go here.

You can create up to 25 different "My Faves (Public/Private) " by giving it a name/description and add videos (Mymemory Videos also) and users into them. Standard user can add 100 videos.

You can change the privacy settings on My Faves from the editing screen. If you set is as open, other people can view your My Faves.
